A Fun Day Out For All The Family.....
Dog Show
Launceston Steam and Vintage Rally will be holding a FUN family dog show. The show is on the Sunday and the Monday, but I have created one event to try to keep it simple!
The show, on both days, starts at 1, with each class starting once the first one has finished. Therefore no waiting around for the next class if there is a small one beforehand etc.
Each class will have rosettes up 1-3 place, and there will be a free class for BIS and RBIS for everyone who got a 1st in the previous classes.
The classes will include -
Best Puppy (up to 1 year old)
Best golden oldie (7 years plus)
Prettiest Girl
Most handsome boy
Most appealing eyes
Dog the judge would most like to take home
Waggiest tail
Best colour/markings
Best child handler (up to 16 years)
Dog that looks most like it's owner
Best pairs (matching/mis-matched)
Best trick
Best rescue
Floppiest ears
Pointiest ears
These may not be in this order on the day, and may be subject to some changes. Classes and their order will be finalised nearer the time, and will be on show during the rally.
There is a charge to get into the show ground, and this cost covers your entry to the show for the whole day. There are lots of trade stands, food vendors, games, vehicles, shows etc going on, so plenty to do either side of the dog show!
The dog show itself is £1 per dog per class (£1 per pair for the pairs class) and free for Best in Show, (for those that have won a 1st place in any of the other classes). Pay as you enter the ring, no need to register.
There are a few rules which must be followed too.
Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times.
ALL poop must be scooped and binned
There will be seperate entry and exit points, to keep things running smoothly.
This is a FUN, FAMILY orientated show, and the judges decision is final.
Things you will find at the rally:
N.B. Vehicles are not permitted to drive around the rally site between 9.00am and 5.00pm unless being escorted to and from the main ring.
